Rice cereal rocks!
Memorial Day 2009
Team Work
(shirts compliments of Team Rockafield)

Ethan was concerned Team Work's tent was not big enough.

Why play with one toy at a time when
you can play with ALL of them at once!
I like camping!

The boys take a break from the Memorial Day games
to pose for this picture - what angels!

Ethan really enjoys playing with LR. It's written all over his face...
Visit from Uncle Jimmy & Aunt Gretchen
May 15 - May 18

The weekend kicked off with a visit to the Chateau St. Michelle winery. Ethan wanted his California family to think he was cool, so he wore his sunglasses.

Norah and Ethan discuss their parents, the economy, sesame street, etc. Ethan is concerned Norah is not saving enough.

Jimmy, Gretchen, Mom, Dad and Ethan spent Saturday morning at Greenlake.

Dad...you are SO smart!

Saturday night - family dinner at Ray's. Christopher and his mini-me where decked out in cargo shorts, white shirts, and the buzz cut.

Jimmy's a natural!

Ethan loved Aunt Gretchen - in particular his loved her singing and her hair!

Sunday night - dinner at Perche No.

Ethan didn't want Italian for dinner. He talked Aunt Gretchen into letting him eat her hand. yum!
Ethan's a cowboy!

Ethan goes to battle with his exersaucer.

With his battle strategy failing,
and the exersaucer standing firm
Ethan pauses to eat his fingers.
NFL Draft Day 2009
What did I do to deserve this punishment?
Seriously, I sleep through the night,
I laugh at your dumb jokes, songs and rhymes...
MOM!, DAD!, why?
GO SEAHWAKS!
Alas, a smile!
Perhaps Ethan's life is not quite as hard as once thought.
Perhaps it's because he was in nothing but a diaper.
Perhaps it's just to appease all of us who think he's too serious.
Visit to the Tulip Fields
April 24, 2009
Grandpa David snuggled in between Norah and Ethan
for the drive north to Laconner.
The bright sun, the tulips, the kissing monster....
it was all a little much for young Ethan.
He's too serious for this type of fun!

Ethan struts his stuff in his komono
from Great Grandma Nancy!
Can you say babe magnet?

Grandma and Grandpa Work, can I go hot tubbing with you now?

Ethan is growing up so fast!
In early April he started sleeping in his big-boy crib!

The transition was pretty easy.
Ethan's sad face only lasted a few minutes.

(note: clearly this was an idea concocted by Big Bad Dad.)

April 12th - Ethan's First Easter

What a lovely family!

Aunt Kassi was excited to see Ethan!

Ethan didn't know what to think of Easter, but doesn't he look cute in his polo shirt?

Who knew Uncle Jeff would remember how to give a baby a bottle?

Great Grandma Donna took us for brunch at the Bellingham Country Club. Ethan really enjoyed it.

Grandma and Grandpa Waldemar with their grandkids. No question which one is the cutest! (right Kassi??)

Jeff, Shane and LR filling Ethan's head with crazy Lynden ways.

Ethan and L chill and talk about how they are going to gang up on Taylor just as soon as Ethan can crawl!

Doesn't everyone need a picture with the bunny? I'm sure Ethan will be glad we did this when he is older.

April 11th - Ethan goes to Grandma Nancy's to celebrate Easter.
The fun day wore Ethan out. Thanks to Grandma Nancy for the sailor hat and duck socks!

April 10th - Ethan's First Trip to the Zoo!
Grandpa David came over to take his critters to the zoo.
Norah eyes Ethan trying to decide where to plant her next kiss...

Ethan and Norah talk about their favorite animals.
Norah gloats about being free, while Ethan is caged like the zoo animals.

Ethan LOVED the elephants. They were probably his favorite animal.

Similar story...Ethan LOVED the bears.
Clearly an educational first trip for Ethan.
